JAMMU, Sept 12: Chief Education Officer, Jammu J.K Sudan today paid a surprise visit to various schools in R.S Pura Zone to review their functioning.
Zonal Education Officer, R.S Pura besides other concerned accompanied the CEO during the visit.
During the visit at Government Higher Secondary School Dablehar, a deputation of Village Education Committee (VEC) met CEO and apprised him about the dilapidated condition of the school building which was collapsed due to heavy rain fall in July this year. CEO assured the deputation that the school will be re-constructed at the earliest under BADP.
At Government High School Dablehar, the Chief Education officer was apprised that the elementary wing of GHSS Dablehar has been functioning in GHS Dablehar due to shortage of accommodation in their parent school.
At GBPS ChakMohdYaar, GPS ChakMohdYaar and GPS Gondla, the Chief Education Officer interacted with students and staff and enquired about the facilities being provided to them. He expressed satisfaction over the functioning of the institutions.
While inspecting quality of Mid-day-Meal being served to the students, the CEO directed the concerned to provide hygienic food besides maintain cleanliness in the schools.
Chief Education Officer directed all the head of the institutions to keep close liaison with VEC/SMDC members to enhance enrolment in the institutions and impart quality and moral education to the students.
Concerned ZEO was directed to conduct regular visits to the institutions to ensure punctuality and regularity.
