JAMMU, June 20: A meeting of executive members of Doordarshan Approved Drama Artists Association (DADAA) was held here today under the chairmanship of J.S Babli, Association President.
Speakers in the meeting welcomed the Government decision to distribute Set Top Boxes among LoC (Line of Control) and IB (International Border) residents in J&K to stop false Pakistani propaganda.
They further said if the Government is really serious to counter false Pakistani propaganda then Centre should conceding pave the way for Duggar Channel for Jammu region.
DADAA members said that since Jammu is very close to border with Pakistan, the programmes be prepared and produced in native languages (Dogri, Gojri, Pahari, Poonchi and Panjabi) of masses residing at either side of border to counter the hostile propaganda of Pakistan effectively otherwise installation of Set Top Boxes would not yield the desired results.
The meeting was attended by Madan Rangila, Sandeshvir, Janak Khajuria, B.M Dubey, Subhash Jamwal, Arun Bakshi and Harbans Sharma.
