Centre must desist from adopting adhoc approach to resolve Kashmir crisis: Vakil

JAMMU, May 19: Former Minister and AICC member, Abdul Gani Vakil said that Centre should desist from adopting adhoc approach to resolve Kashmir crisis.
Vakil said this while addressing public meetings in Rafiabad at Chijhama, Rawoosa and Paizal Pora.
He said that the time has come for Central Government to involve Hurriyat leaders into a meaningful dialogue to resolve issues confronting people of J&K.
Vakil urged both Central leadership as well as Hurriyat Conference to sense the sensitivity, understand the gravity of the prevailing situation therefore initiate a meaningful dialogue as the endless wait is making people suffer.
He said that youth are suffering for want of employment, tourism is in shambles, overall development is stagnated, democratic institutions are being been undermined and sense of insecurity is prevailing in the society which consequently has alienated people.
Vakil asked the Government to immediately hold the elections of Local Bodies so the people at grass root level are empowered.
Senior Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Shah, Haji Mohd Afzal Khan and Brij Mohan Nehru were also present.
