JAMMU, Feb 10: The traders of Jammu and Kashmir are facing severe issues due to failure of successive Governments of erstwhile State. The BJP Government at the Centre is committed to provide all sorts of facilities to the traders with an aim to make India “Atmanirbhar Bharat”.
This was stated by Rakesh Mahajan Incharge All Cells BJP J&K Unit while chairing a meeting of BJPs Transport Cell and Industries and Trade Cell here today. In the meeting, Sham Lal Langar, Convernor Industries and Trade Cell BJP J&K and Ashutosh Gupta, Convenor Transport Cell BJP were also present.
During the meeting several issues related to BJPs Transport Cell and Industries and Trade Cell were discussed threadbare which included free hold to industries, waiving of JMC shops rents, surcharge of electricity bills, waiving of bank’s interest to traders, construction of flyover from Karan Nagar to Bus Stand, etc.
Rakesh Mahajan said that the new Industrial Developmental Scheme for Jammu and Kashmir with a total outlay of Rs 28,400 crore will only successful only when the Government give freehold rights to the multinational companies working in the Jammu and Kashmir. These companies are facing severe problems due to NOCs issued by several Government departments, he added.
Sham Langar, in his address, said that for the past so many decades, the industries in Jammu have fuelled the economic rise of Jammu and Kashmir in a great manner.
“At the same time, the industries have generated employment for tens of thousands of families across the erstwhile State. The Government must charge a minimum nominal fee and declare free hold for these industries. Regularisation these industries will prove to be a boon for the administration, the economy of the union territory, besides the employees working in them, and their families. Besides, the demand of Ware House traders who are facing severe problems which need urgent mitigation including permission to construct additional floors on their shops to cater to their growing needs of business expansion and for convenience in running their existing trading chores,” Langar said.
The senior BJP leaders assured that all the demands raised in the meeting will be resolved in a phased manner.
