This is a step in right direction. By granting Central University status to SKUAST-J, the framers in Jammu division will be immensely benefitted. Jammu division has vast tracts of land under cultivation, and there is great scope for agricultural and horticultural activities.
If Central University status is granted to it, there will be no paucity of funds for carrying out research and allied activities.
The agricultural activities in the province will get a big boost which in turn would pep up the State economy.
The suggestions made by the author of the write up which got published in this paper sometime back are noteworthy.
