Centaur Hotel employees continue protest

SRINAGAR, June 27: Centaur Hotel Employees Union continued its strong peaceful protest in Press Colony and demanded the security of their livelihoods.
Employees Joint Action Committee, Jammu Kashmir (EJAC) president Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam along with other top leaders of EJAC participated in the protest which is being held for last two weeks.
During the protest, employees expressed concerned about their livelihoods as the possession of the Hotel has been taken up by the J&K Government. They further added that such a decision will be a misadventure and will have serious repercussions.
Furthermore, the EJAC president assured full support to the aggrieved employees and conveyed that EJAC will stand shoulder to shoulder with them till their genuine demands are met.
In this regard, EJAC top leadership met Additional Deputy Commissioner today in whose presence the possession of Centaur hotel was taken by J&K Government and highlighted this grave issue.
