JAMMU, Nov 17: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) VS Sampath has convened a high level meeting in New Delhi tomorrow to discuss election preparedness for Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections.
Apart from Sampath, Election Commissioners BS Brahama and Dr Nasim Zaidi, Deputy Election Commissioner, Incharge Jammu and Kashmir, Vinod Zutshi and Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), J&K Umang Narula will attend the meeting.
The CEC has called Chief Secretary J&K Mohammad Iqbal Khandey, Principal Secretary Home, Suresh Kumar and Director General of Police (DGP) K Rajendra Kumar to the meeting.
The CEC will review election arrangements, security preparedness including deployment of para-military forces and police and all other steps required for free, fair and smooth polling in the State.
