CEC Leh, MP Ladakh review COVID facilities at SNM Hospital

LEH, May 4: Chairman/CEC LAHDC Leh Advocate Tashi Gyalson along with MP Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal visited SNM Hospital and Oxygen Plant at Chushot, here today.
The medical officials led by Dr T Motup at SNM Hospital apprised the CEC and the MP of the concerns regarding issues of manpower and more facilities for handling COVID-19 patients in the Hospital. The CEC Gyalson and the MP resolved few issues on the spot in coordination with the concerned district officers and also assured to resolve other issues with utmost priority to the requirement of medical facilities.
Taking stock of the oxygen supply at the Hospital, Dr Motup also informed the officials that both the Oxygen plants at SNM Hospital Leh are functioning with the capacity of 500 litres per minute.
Health workers and AMT School students, SNM Hospital Leh raised their concerns and demands to the CEC Gyalson and the MP. Taking note of the issues and demands, the CEC and the MP assured to redress their issues at the earliest. They also requested them to continue their noble service to the people of Ladakh in fighting together against Coronavirus.
Later, the duo visited Leh Oxy Care, an Oxygen plant at Chushot, and reviewed its status. Proprietor, Leh Oxy Care, Tashi Gonbo informed the officials that the plant is functioning at the capacity of 660 litres of oxygen per minute, which can easily cater to the hospitals in Leh.
