NEW DELHI, Mar 4: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson met with Union Minister of State (MoS) for External Affairs Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh in New Delhi.
The CEC was accompanied by Lopen Konchok Dorje, member of Drigung Kagyu Samten Ling Vietnam Opening Ceremony Preparatory Committee, and BJP Ladakh’s State treasurer, Tonyot Tashi.
Gyalson requested the MoS to grace as chief guest the inaugural ceremony of The Great Prayer Wheel “Origung Kagyu Rinchen Khorchen Khorwe Go Gek” and the ceremony for the Reception of the Guinness World Record at Samten Hills Dalat to be held on March 11 in Lam Dong Vietnam.
He added that Drubwang Sonam Jorfel Rinpoche has been a pride for Ladakh in particular and the nation at large, as he has taken the initiative for the construction of Drigung Kagyu Samten Ling Meditation Center and the World’s largest “The Great Prayer Wheel” ”Drigung Kagyu Rinchen Khorchen Khorwe Go Gek” in Vietnam for world peace, communal harmony and for the benefits of all sentient beings as well as to make this planet a better place to live.
The CEC also mentioned that the foundation stone would also be laid for the establishment of the first-of-its-kind, Buddhist University in Vietnam and requested the MoS to grace the occasion which will go a long way in encouraging the Buddhist community of the world at large in general and to boost the diplomatic as well as religious/cultural ties between both the countries in particular.
Earlier, MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal also had a telephonic conversation with the Union Minister and requested him to attend the inauguration ceremony of The Great Prayer Wheel “Origung Kagyu Rinchen Khorchen Khorwe Go Gek” and the ceremony for the Reception of the Guinness World Record at Samten Hills Dalat in Vietnam.
Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh informed the CEC that he would make sincere efforts to attend the mega programme despite being engaged with the G20 programmes in the country.
