KARGIL, May 13 : Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today welcomed the newly appointed Joint Director Information and Deputy Director Tourism, Mohd Taqi, at Kargil.
Mohd Taqi, has been posted as Joint Director Information, and has also been assigned the additional charge of Deputy Director Tourism.
During the interaction, various issues related to the Information and Tourism Departments were discussed in detail, particularly focusing on the promotion and strengthening of tourism activities in Kargil.
The discussion also emphasized the importance of effective publicity, tourism outreach, and coordinated efforts to showcase the cultural, historical, and promotion of mountaineering, trekking and and natural heritage of the region.
The CEC expressed hope that the departments would work in close coordination for the overall development and promotion of tourism in Kargil and assured full support from LAHDC Kargil for all developmental and promotional initiatives.
