KARGIL, Apr 2: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today appealed the Boards of Management of all private educational institutions as well as the heads of Government schools, colleges to initiate online classes for all subjects in an effort to keep up with the academic calendar in the interest of the students.
The CEC has stated that after the three months long winter break, the continued closure of schools as a precautionary measure in view of the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent countrywide lockdown has adversely affected the academic pursuits of the students in the district.
Feroz Khan has said that in such a situation, it is imperative upon all concerned to make all possible efforts to alleviate the situation. He said that instances of individual efforts by starting online video lectures by teachers have come to the notice of the LAHDC Kargil apart from the initiative of the Lecturers Forum Kargil, which are highly appreciable steps taken up in this direction.
Meanwhile, the CEC has said that these classes shall be voluntary in nature and shall not be treated as a replacement for the regular classes.
