LEH, May 11: To speed up the ongoing Leh beautification works under UIDSSMT (Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme for Small & Medium Town), JNURM, CEC, LAHDC, Leh Rigzin Spalbar today inspected ongoing works at Main Market, Leh, Housing Colony, Ibex Colony, Murtsey colony, Fort road, Old road and Targasling along with team of engineers.
CEC instructed engineers to speed up the works in Leh Bazar, Old road and Fort road areas by engaging extra men and machine as these areas are the main tourist areas. He also directed Superintendent Engineer S.R Dogra to float the tender of roads of Housing Colony and Ibex Colony at the earliest as all the underground works in these areas are almost complete.
CEC also inspected the ongoing construction work of Community Hall and toilets under RAY (Rajiv Awas Yojna) at Kharyok where X-En. R&B, Gh. Nabi informed him that out of 96 toilets, works are going on at 21 toilets and the tender for construction of individual household were also floated.
CEC also visited the NAC Park opposite Balkang where Administrator, Municipality Dr. Zahida Bano updated him about the progress of works and future plan of the Park.
