KARGIL, July 21: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan along with the Executive Councillor for Works Mubarak Shah Nagvi today visited District Hospital Kargil to take stock of the possibilities for execution of different works for augmentation of parking, residential facilities to doctors, paramedics, patients and attendants, drinking water, electricity and other required facilities there.
The CEC and EC were accompanied by the Chief Medical Officer Kargil Dr Muhammad Ibrahim Khan, Executive Engineer R&B II Kargil Kacho Mehmood Ali, In Charge Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Kargil Dr Fatima Nissa, Doctors of District Hospital Kargil besides other concerned officers.
The CEC and EC went round the hospital premises and inspected the proposed sites for establishment of parking site, installation of submersible pump and DG set.
CEC Khan and EC Mubarak Shah also visited the residential quarters of doctors and paramedical staff and the patient and attendant sarai which are in need of necessary repairs in terms of construction of compound walling, sanitary works, plastering, repair of ceilings, painting and other allied works and gave on spot directions to the Executive Engineer R&B II Kargil to prepare DPRs so that the repair and renovation works of these structures could be kick started at the earliest possible.
The CEC also asked the Executive Engineer and other officers concerned to prepare estimates for construction of walling of the hospital premises from Chanchik side to restrict unwanted movement besides to maintain hygiene and crowd control in the hospital from outside.
CEC Khan also directed the concerned officers to explore possibilities for establishment of parking facilities in the hospital premises. He also suggested officers to devise ways and means to convert the ground floor of the existing patient sarai as a parking space so that the unwanted rush of vehicles is controlled and parking of vehicles is managed in a proper manner.
Meanwhile, the CEC and EC Works assured the CMO Kargil and doctors that all required repair, renovation and improvement works would be executed in a timely manner so that doctors and patients are provided satisfactory facilities and a proper working environment.
