JAMMU, Dec 30: Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized an interactive session with Madhav Lal, Secretary MSME, Government of India, here today at Chamber House.
On the occasion, the CCI president Y V Sharma highlighted the grievances and demands of the Jammu industrialists who are at the tail end of the country and thus lagging behind due to geographical disadvantage, cross border terrorism. He stressed for special care and attention to J&K as nobody was ready to invest in the State unless some attractive incentives are offered.
“This is the reason that hardly any investment has been made in the State during the last 21 months,” the CCI president explained and demanded extension of Income Tax exemption to new industrial units  for another 10 years.
He also demanded establishment of new Industrial Estates adjoining Jammu, considering whole State of J&K as industrially backward and free flow of credit to MSME by the nationalized banks.
Madhav Lal assured to take all possible steps for redressal of the issues, raised by the Chamber of Commerce.
