JAMMU, Dec 28: Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI), Jammu today organised an interaction programme for Kashmir Administrative service Probationers of 2016 batch.
Additional Secretary Finance and CEO Mission Youth, Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, who was chief guest on the occasion, called upon the young officers to work with honesty and dedication for the betterment of the society. He said that they are the future planners and reminded them that the people have high expectations from them.
He said that the motive of the interaction programme was to make them aware about the challenges and opportunities that they will encounter in the course of services.
During his interaction with the officers, he emphasised the need to demonstrate accountability while performing duties. He said that the goal of the officer should be to earn goodwill of the public and uphold the values of transparency during discharge of his duty.
He said that the objective of a public officer should be to garner public opinion while fighting social evils ‘as your performance will be judged at various levels.’
He also lauded the role of media in highlighting the issues of public and said that it has a very important role in a progressive society.
