CB produces challan against JDA employees

JAMMU, Jan 31: Crime Branch today produced challan against Jammu Development Authority (JDA) employees for preparing forged documents, obtaining loan and cheating the bank.
The accused employees are Chaman Singh, son of Tribat Singh of Ashok Nagar, Canal Road, Arun Kumar, son of Puran Chand of Bakshi Nagar, Kuldeep Kumar, son of Beli Ram of R S Pura, Pritam Lal, son of Amar Nath of R S Pura, Om Parkash, son of Chatto Ram of Birpur, Vijay Kumar, son of Bishan Dass of Arnia, Sham Lal, son of Nikka Ram of Nai Basti Satwari, Om Parkash, son of Kalu Ram of Machine Domana, Deepak Kumar, son of Dadroo Ram of Janipur and Bachan Lal, son of Beli Ram of New Plots.
A spokesman of the Crime Branch said that a written complaint was received from the Manager, State Bank of Patiala, Gandhi Nagar branch alleging that JDA employees had withdrawn loan from the bank by way of fraudulent means after preparing forged documents. On this, an enquiry was initiated and accordingly formal case was registered.
During the course of investigation, record of State Bank of Patiala and JDA pertaining to the loan availed by accused persons was seized and sent to FSL for comparison and expert opinion. From the facts and circumstances, it was substantiated that these accused persons had obtained the consumer loan by providing fake salary certificates/undertakings on behalf of Accounts Officer JDA.
On completion of investigation, offences were established against the accused persons.
