LEH, Apr 30: The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Jammu Bench, held a circuit sitting at the Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) Centre in Melongthang, Leh, to provide better access to justice for residents of Ladakh.
A statement said that Member (Judicial), Sanjeev Gupta, and Member (Administrative), Pragya Sahay Saksena, presided over the session.
They were welcomed by Shashi Kant Bhagat, Secretary, Department of Law and Justice, UT Ladakh, along with senior legal and administrative officials.
The statement said, the circuit bench heard 17 cases during the sitting. The Members conducted the proceedings with care and efficiency, ensuring that service matters were dealt with fairly.
Law officers and officials from various departments were also present to assist the Senior Central Government Counsel.
The Secretary Law thanked the CAT Members for holding the sitting in Leh, saying it boosted public confidence in the justice system.
