Srinagar, Aug 17: Head of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Asiya Andrabi, was booked for hoisting Pakistan’s flag in Kashmir.
Police registered a case (FIR no 84/2015 under Section 13 of Unlawful Activities Act) against Andrabi. The investigations in the case are in progress and, if need be, more sections may be invoked against her.
Asiya unfurled Pakistan’s flag and sang the National Anthem of Pakistan in Bachpora area on the outskirts of the city on August 14. She also released its video to the media.
Andrabi also in her telephonic address to a rally organised by Jamatul Dawa chief, Hafiz Saeed in Pakistan, greeted the people of Pakistan on their Independence Day.
The DeM earlier celebrated Pakistan’s National Day on March 23 this year and ‘hoisted’ the flag of country and sung its National Anthem, following which the police had registered a case against her under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
