NEW DELHI, July 16: Cardamom brown prices rose by Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today largely supported by increased buying by retailers and stockists amid low stocks.
Furthermore, fall in supplies from producing belts supported the upside.
Cardamom brown-Jhundiwali and Kanchicut prices rose by Rs 10 each to conclude at Rs 1,320-1,330 and Rs 1,360-1,600 per kg, respectively.
Traders said buying support from retailers and stockists against fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly pushed up cardamom brown prices.
Following are today’s quotations (in Rs):
Ajwain (per kg) 180-240, black pepper (per kg) 730-850, betel-nut (kg) 240-295, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,320-1,330 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,360-1,600.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 630-805, cardamom (colour robin) 615-625, cardamom bold 655-675, cardamom extra (bold) 755-765 and cloves 560-660. (PTI)
