NEW DELHI, July 24: Cardamom prices advanced by 0.27 per cent to Rs 780.20 per kg in futures trading today on the back of rising domestic as well as export demand.
Besides, restricted supplies from producing regions supported the uptrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in August gained Rs 2.10, or 0.27 per cent to Rs 780.20 per kg in a business turnover of 52 lots.
The spice for delivery in September contracts edged up Rs 2, or 0.26 per cent to Rs 779 per kg in just a single lot.
Analysts said besides rising domestic and export demand at the spot market, restricted supplies from producing belts mainly kept cardamom prices higher in futures trade. (PTI)
