Cardamom futures remain weak on tepid demand

NEW DELHI, Dec 6: Cardamom prices eased further by 1.87 per cent to Rs 961.20 per kg in futures trading today as speculators trimmed their positions, taking negative cues from spot market on muted demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in December declined by Rs 18.30, or 1.87 per cent to Rs 961.20 per kg in business turnover of 4 lots.
Traders said cutting down of positions by participants on the back of subdued demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions, mainly kept cardamom prices down at futures trade. (PTI)
