NEW DELHI, Oct 22: Cardamom prices fell further by 0.41 per cent to Rs 726.70 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced their positions amid sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in November fell by Rs 3, or 0.41 per cent, to Rs 726.70 per kg in business turnover of 151 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in December shed Rs 2.40, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 758 per kg in 75 lots.
Market analysts’ trimming of positions by participants amid a weak trend at spot markets due to sluggish demand led to the fall in cardamom prices at futures trade. (PTI)
