Cardamom futures drop 1.12% as muted demand weighs

NEW DELHI, Sept 25: Cardamom prices fell by 1.12 per cent to Rs 1,170 per kg in futures market today as speculators scaled down exposure amid easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks.
At Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in October declined by Rs 13.30, or 1.12 per cent, to Rs 1,170 per kg in a business turnover of 4 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to slack demand in the physical market against ample stock position influenced cardamom prices in futures trade. (PTI)
