KATHUA, Jan 8: A car owner was killed while several others were injured in accident near Zandrota area on Bani-Basholi road.
As per police sources, a car was on its way to Basholi from Sheetal Nagar when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into gorge near Zandrota area, resulting into on the spot death of driver and injuries to several others.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to SDH Basholi, from where they were discharged after medical aid.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased identified as Mohammad Saleem, son of Mohammad Ramzan, a resident of Sheetal Nagar was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Basholi Police Station and investigation started.
