REASI, Aug 12: The Forest and Wild Life Department officials freed three captured cubs of leopard in Mahore area and re-united them with their mother.
DFO Mahore Sajid Sultan told the Excelsior that three cubs were captured by the villagers on Tuesday when a female leopard attacked them in remote area near Kouri village. One person was also injured in the incident. The Range Officer and Forester of the area were informed by the locals and they took the cubs in possession from the villagers. The Wild Life staff was also intimated. The leopard (mother) was searching for the cubs and it had gone violent.
Preventing any further attack from the leopard, the Forest and Wild Life team freed the cubs in the same area last evening from where they were captured and ensured their re-union with the mother.
