Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, May 13: The CA&PD Department has canceled licence of a dealer for sale centers at Mishriwala, Siblewala and Marjali under Unfair Trade Practices Act.
Pertinently, a raid was conducted by the Executive Magistrate at all the three sale centers to scrutinize the stocks of these centers in view of 275 PDS/Govt bags of wheat being seized. The dealer was found responsible for non distribution of ration in the respective areas and for indulging in black marketing/pilferage of Government ration (Wheat).
Meanwhile, the department also placed under suspension Rajit Singh, Supervisor Chatha Store and Romesh Singh Chib Storekeeper Chatha Store for failing to watch the interest of the Government in detecting the tempered permits by ration dealers, gross negligence and loss to State exchequer.
This was a follow up of the action taken by the department in suspension of dealers found involved in pilferage/black marketing of PDS wheat from premises of M/s Kissan Flour Mills. The regular departmental enquiry is likely to be initiated against these two suspended officials.
