CAPD squad imposes Rs 6400 fine on traders

 JAMMU, July 11: A team of Enforcement Wing of the CA&PD Department, conducted market-checking at Jewel Chowk, Shahidi Chowk, Lower Gumat, Gujjar Nagar and adjoining areas and imposed a fine of Rs 6400 on the defaulter shopkeepers.
The team headed by Assistant Director, CAPD during special drive conducted surprise  checking of 11 establishments, especially those of mutton sellers, chicken sellers, vegetable sellers and bakery shops. Ten defaulters were challaned  for over-charging  and not displaying rate lists besides other offences. A fine of Rs. 6400 was  recovered from the defaulters on the spot for violation. They were directed to display price list in bold letters at their establishments and refrain from overcharging from the consumers.
