To attract quality manpower, the Centre has approved a policy to share scores and rankings of candidates who appear in various recruitment exams conducted by recruitment agencies with public and private sectors.
In a written reply in Lok Sabha today, Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has made some observations in this regard which have been communicated to the authorities concerned.
“The Government has approved the policy for public disclosure of scores and ranking of the candidates who appear for recruitment examinations conducted by various public recruitment agencies for the benefit of employers in the public and private sector seeking qualified candidates through a portal,” Singh said.
UPSC, among other recruiting agencies, conducts civil services examination annually to select officers of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), among others.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced this initiative last month. “The Government and public sector undertakings conduct a number of recruitment examinations. So far, the scores in these examinations have been retained by the Government. (PTI)
