JAMMU, Apr 23: J&K Thalassemia Welfare Society, in collaboration with Pediatrics Department, organized two- day camp for Thalassemic patients at Thalassemia Day Care Centre, SMGS Hospital Jammu.
Renowned Thematologists and experts in Thalassemia disorders, Dr V P Choudhary, former Professor and Head of Hematology, AIIMS New Delhi, and Dr J S Arora, general secretary National Thalassemia Welfare Society, New Delhi, were the guest faculty.
A large number of Thalassemic patients attended the camp and were examined by Dr V P Choudhary, Dr J S Arora, Dr Rekha Harish (Prof & Head Deptt of Pediatrics) and Dr Sanjeev K Digra (Associate Professor and Consultant I/C Thalassemia Day Care Center.
The proceedings of camp were conducted by Er Sudhir Sethi, president J&K Thalassemia Welfare Society Jammu, Dr K K Koul, Head Deptt of Pathology; Dr G S Saini, Prof Pediatrics; Dr Vijay Sahani, Prof and Head Dept of Blood Transfusion; Dr Meena Sidhu, Associate Prof Blood Transfusion and Dr Dara Singh, Medical Superintendent SMGS Hospital Jammu.
Rajinder Pathak, general secretary J&K Thalassemia Welfare Society, along with Shammi Kapoor, Narinder Mahajan, Puneet Gandhotra and Shivam Vaid also attended the camp.
