JAMMU, Sept 15: Calling for a decisive fight against gross violations of the laws and rules of the country right under the nose of the Government by the big foreign e-commerce companies, Confederation of All India Traders, led by Neeraj Anand held a strong protest demonstration in Gandhinagar area here today.
Expressing concern over the apparent malicious intentions of the foreign funded capitalist enterprises to manipulate laws and hit the MSME sector to their benefit, Neeraj appealed to the Central Government to save the Indian traders. Today’s protest was part of the nationwide protest held across 500 cities by Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) under its month long campaign “e-Commerce Per Halla Bol”.
Prominent bazaar heads, office bearers of CAIT were present during the protest including, Attar Singh, Praveen Gupta, Manish Gupta, Davinder Gupta, SK Gupta, Raman Gupta, Shiv Gupta, Dinesh Gupta, Tushaar Gupta, Pooja Kapoor, Ajay Gupta, Parag Abrol among others.
Meanwhile, National secretary general of CAIT, Praveen Khandelwal took out a protest march from Delhi to Agra and on his way participated in dharna in eight different cities and towns including Noida, Faridabad, Ballabhgarh, Palwal, Hodal, Kosi Kallan and Mathura.
CAIT National president BC Bhartia and secretary general said that the protest dharnas organized in every corner of the country today proved that traders across the country have mobilized against the monopoly business model of big foreign e-commerce companies. They said all buffoons of foreign funded e-commerce companies including the Niti Aayog, few industry organization, are speaking language of foreign e-retailers to protect their interests which has grossly irked the traders and CAIT will expose them at appropriate time.
Bhartia and Khandelwal openly challenged these foreign e-commerce companies, saying that they should no longer consider our India of 1857 and give up the idea of making themselves another version of the East India Company, as this is the India of 2021 under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi in which the traders of the country know how to give a befitting reply to the foreign companies.
The manner in which foreign e-commerce companies have violated our Indian laws through their arbitrariness, and dishonesty, due to which lakhs of shops in the country especially mobile, grocery, FMCG etc have been closed and domestic trade has been effected badly.
