JAMMU, Dec 18: Pacca Danga police today arrested a cyber café owner for raping a girl.
As per police sources, a girl hailing from Janipur lodged a complaint with police station Pacca Danga that owner of “My Space” cyber café namely Sidhant Suri, son of Rajinder Suri, a resident of Mast Garh has raped her around one and half month back. The accused was running cyber café opposite Ranbir Library near Parade.
In her complaint, the girl also stated that the accused had clicked some nude pictures of her and was threatening her to upload the same on the social sites, if she narrated the episode to anyone.
On the complaint of the girl, a case under FIR number 197/14 under Section 376, 294 and 506 RPC got registered with police station Pacca Danga and manhunt was launched to nab the accused.
The girl was restored to family members after conducting medical examination.
On specific information, police team from Pacca Danga police station conducted a raid and arrested the accused from a hideout.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Pacca Danga police station Daljeet Singh made the arrest under the supervision of DySP City Perbeet Singh, SP City Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
