SRINAGAR: The cable car service in Kashmir’s Gulmarg, which was shut in June following an accident that claimed seven lives, was reopened for public today after over a month, officials said.
The Gulmarg Gondola service has been restored and many tourists and locals took rides. Operations for both phases of the cable car have been resumed, Riyaz Ahmad, the general manager of Jammu and Kashmir State Cable Car Corporation, said.
There were inspections following which the engineers and technicians gave a go-ahead for the resumption of the services for both the phases, he said. (AGENCIES)
