JAMMU, Feb 25: Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) today celebrated Mahila Diwas at Marble Market, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The chief guest on the occasion was Rimpy Singh (Joint Commissioner JMC) while Corporator Neena Gupta and Dr Sapna Gupta were guests of honour.
A debate on the topic ‘Mahila Ghar ko Mandir Bnati hai’ was organized on the occasion. Besides, several cultural programmes were organized and the special attraction was performance by grand children of Dr Raj Kumari Bhavay Gupta and Prajwal Gupta. Both performed classical bhajan and table.
All branches of BVP gave their yearly report of projects they performed in their branches. On the occasion, BVP honoured regular donors– Dr Raj Kumri, Ritu Mahajan, Rani Khurana, Asha Aggarwal and Gulati.
Also present on the occasion were Amita Sharma (regional secretary Mahila and Bal Vikas), Arun Sharma, Narender Mishra, Rajesh Gupta, Dr Santosh Gupta, Ashok Gupta, Vijay Sharma and Mahila Sanjojikas of all branches.
The programme was conducted by Trishula Gupta (Prant Sanjogika) along with Indu Puri.
