JAMMU, Apr 14: A bus driver received serious injuries today after he came in contact with a live electric wire in Narwal area of city outskirts.
“The victim has been identified as Pawan Kumar (45) son of Sham Lal, resident of Siot (Sunderbani). He came in contact with a high tension wire at Transport Nagar when he climbed on roof top of the bus to unload some luggage,” a police official said.
He said due to electrocution, the bus driver also fell down from the roof top of the bus. “In the mishap, the bus driver received serious injuries. He is undergoing treatment at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, but he was unable to give any statement,” the official said, adding Narwal police had taken cognizance of the matter.
