Bus collides with truck, 20 Vaishno Devi pilgrims injured

JAMMU, July 31: Twenty Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrims were injured when the bus they were traveling in collided with a truck near Lower Domail, falling under the jurisdiction of Jhajjar Kotli Police Station.
The ill-fated bus bearing registration number JKO2AS-3279 was on its way to Jammu from Katra, when it collided with a truck bearing registration number JKO2AL-6517 near Lower Domail, causing grievous injuries to twenty Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrims.
On getting information, police team, medical team led by BMO Dhansal Dr Sumir Koul and locals rushed to the spot and started rescue operation.
All the injured were rushed to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Dansal, where after first aid, all the injured were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for advanced treatment.
The injured have been identified as Shyam Gupta (22), son of Narayan Dass Gupta, Kanti Devi (55), wife of Updesh, Updesh Bahadur Singh (65), son of Narbadha, Virender Kumar (40), son of Bodh Ram, Parbati Devi (38), wife of Virender, Ram Ajor (40), son of Bachan, Bablu (33), son of Kaleswar, Rajesh Soni (30), son of Ashok Kumar, Om Parkash (35), son of Ram Rakha, Parkash (40), son of Dewata, Shanti Devi (38), wife of Ram Ajor, Chamela Devi (50), wife of Ram Such, Guddi, wife of Om Parkash, Pallavi (5), daughter of Virender, Sumit (6), son of Prem Manzoor and Vishnu (35), all residents of Uttar Pradesh, Ashish Kumar (21), son of Righpal Singh of New Delhi, Parmila Devi (50), wife of Adthiya Thakur, Pooja Kumari (18), daughter of Adthiya Thakur and Baby Kumari (33), wife of Prem Kumar, trio residents of Haryana.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli Police Station and investigation started.
