SAMBA, Mar 16: Samba police has solved a burglary case registered at Police Station, Ramgarh with the arrest of four thieves and recovered the stolen items.
According to police on March 14 a written complaint was lodged at PS Ramgarh by one person namely Hardeep Singh, S/o Sharam Singh of Raika Labana, Ramgarh stating therein that during the intervening night of 12/13 March, some unknown burglars strike in his house and decamped with electronic items and other household items.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR No. 18/2020 U/S 457/380 IPC was registered at P/S Ramgarh and investigation started to work out the burglary case, police said.
During course of investigation, the police team of PS Ramgarh had rounded up several suspects and finally succeeded in arresting the thieves involved in the burglary, police said. The accused persons were identified as Vicky, S/o Gopal Masih of Vijaypur, Azad Ahmed, S/o Sain Mohd. of Thandi Khui, Vijaypur, Sunil Kumar, S/o Hari Kumar of Gorakhpur, Bihar A/P Vijaypur and Ganesh Kumar, S/o Janak Raj of W.No. 12, Vijaypur. They confessed their involvement in execution of crime and stolen items viz, Liveguard Inverter, Induction Heater, Induction Rice Cooker, Gas Stove, Steel Pan, Hammer, Steel Taps, Cutter, Drill Machine, Marble Grinder, Pliers, Cable Wire, Liveguard Battery and Stabilizer were recovered from their hideout, police added..
Police said during sustained interrogation, they further disclosed their involvement in other theft case registered at PS Ramgarh under FIR No. 16/2020 and some recoveries were also made which included Luminous Inverter, Extension Board, Electric Wire, Kandi and Burnt Copper Wire Blower, Printer/Scanner, Photostat/Printer and Stabilizer.
Police said that the arrests were made on the directives of SSP Samba, Shakti Pathak and under the supervision of Additional SP Samba, Faisal Qureshi. Further investigation of the case is going on, police added.
