Burglary case worked out, one held

RAJOURI, Dec 27: Khawas police worked out a burglary case and arrested a thief along with stolen jewellery and cash.
A police spokesman said that, on December 12, a lady namely Begum Jhan, wife of Muneer Hussain, a resident of Gundha along with her husband lodged a complaint with police post Khawas that during the intervening night of December 8 and 9, some unidentified thieves barged into their house by breaking the door locks and decamped with jewellery items and Rs 800 cash.
Accordingly, a case under FIR number 91/14 under Section 457 and 380 RPC was registered with Budhal police station and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, police picked up a suspect namely Mohammad Ashraf, son of Abdul Aziz, a resident of Gundha.
During questioning, the suspect broke down and confessed to commit the theft.
On his disclosure, police recovered the stolen items including 3 gold nose pins, 4 silver bangles, 1 silver ring, 4 silver ear rings and Rs 800 cash.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
