KISHTWAR, Jan 31: Police today worked out a burglary case with the arrest of three persons and recovery of stolen items.
As per police sources, on January 26 this year, a complaint with filed by a site engineer of Airtel Telecom namely Liaqet Ali, son of Nasrulla Din of Poonch with Police Station Kishtwar that some unknown persons have stolen some items of fibre network cabling project from the work site near Kuleed Chowk.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 19/18 under Section 379 RPC was registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigations started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Kishtwar Police Station conducted raids in various suspected areas in order to arrest the burglars. After strenuous efforts, police finally worked out the burglary case with the arrest of three persons.
The arrested persons have been identified as Abdul Rashid Butt, son of Ghulam Qadir, Amit Sharma, son of Nagesh Sharma and Saqib Shabir, son of Shabir Ahmed, all residents of Sangrambata, district Kishtwar.
On their disclosure, police recovered the stolen items including duct pipe 1 roll of 500 meters, 10 DWC pipes 10, 50 coplur and plugs, 50 simple plugs and 30 modified duct pipes.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases. Police team led by SHO Kishtwar Inspector Sameer Jeelani made the arrest under the supervision of SSP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary.
