RAJOURI, July 26: A police team from Manjakote area of Rajouri district claimed to have solved a case of burglary, with the arrest of the accused. The stolen gold ornaments have also been recovered from his possession.
Official sources said that a person from Kalali village of Manjakote lodged a written complaint with police that some unidentified person has stolen gold ornaments from his home last night. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 61/2023 U/Ss 457, 380 IPC was registered in Police Station Manjakote and investigation started by a police team headed by SHO Abrar Khan.
During investigation, a suspect namely- Mohd Kafeel, son of Gul Hussain, resident of Kalali was rounded up who during interrogation, confessed the commission of crime.
Accordingly on his disclosure two ear rings were recovered. He was arrested.
