SRINAGAR, Feb 25: Police busted a gang of burglars which was involved in a burglary case and recovered stolen property worth lakhs in Budgam district today.
A police spokesman said that three persons who were involved in a burglary case were arrested and property including 64 mobiles, mobile batteries, chargers and invertors etc worth lakhs of rupees were recovered from their possession.
“Police station Beerwah after receiving a complaint about theft in a shop in Beerwah area of the district registered a case with FIR NO. 24/2018 under section 457,380 RPC and started its investigation,” he said.
He said during the course of investigation, police rounded up several suspects and one suspect, Waheed Ahmad, a resident of Sutharan Khag admitted that he along with his two other associates, Bilal Mantoo and Manzoor Sheikh, both residents of Sutharan had committed the burglary in the shop and on their instance 64 number of mobiles, mobile batteries, charges and invertors etc worth lakhs were recovered.
