KISHTWAR, May 17: Police here today solved a burglary case and arrested the thief involved in it and the stolen items were also recovered.
SSP Kishtwar, Naresh Singh informed that Police Station Kishtwar received a written complaint on May 14, 2025 from one Mohd Zubair Doolwal, son of Gh. Nabi Doolwal, resident of Ward number 7, Kishtwar that an unknown individual broke into his house, damaged door locks and glass panels and stole a DVR and CCTV cameras.
A case in FIR No. 108/2025 U/S 305/331(4) BNS was registered in this regard at Police Station Kishtwar after which a special investigation team was constituted which was led by Dy.SP Hqrs. Kishtwar, Dr. Ishan Gupta and assisted by SHO Police Station Kishtwar along with IC PP Hidyal under the supervision of Additional SP Kishtwar, Pardeep Singh, to probe the case.
Using technical surveillance, CCTV footage analysis, and on-ground intelligence, the investigation team identified and arrested the accused, Mohd Zunaid Lone, son of Mohd Shahban Lone, resident of Dared Peth, Kishtwar and the stolen property including DVR and CCTV cameras along with others items were also recovered from him.
