Bukhari donates 2 ambulances to Lal Ded Hospital

SRINAGAR, Apr 17: Minister for Public Works, Floriculture and Gardens & Parks Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today visited the tertiary care maternity hospital Lal Ded and reviewed the patient care facilities, infrastructure and construction work on additional block of the hospital.
The Minister visited old and the new blocks of the hospital and paid a visit to various wards to see the OPD and IPD working. Later, the Minister chaired a review meeting directing the executing agencies to speed up the construction work so that the patients visiting the hospital get benefited by the additional accommodation. The Minister also directed the hospital administration to provide best possible medicare to the patients suffering from various ailments.
Bukhari directed the Public Works officers to go for landscaping of the hospital premises and initiate the necessary civil works including boundary wall of the hospital at the earliest. He also asked the JKPCC to remove bottlenecks within shortest possible period and go for replacement of defunct lifts without any further delay.
He asked the Irrigation and Flood Control Department to start work on retaining wall of the river Jehlum facing the hospital and strengthen the embankment on the Bund. The Public Works Department officers were directed to construct wash rooms for the attendant Saraie and complete the project within shortest possible period.
He assured that all roads leading to the hospital will be macadamized and the department will ensure black topping of these roads at the earliest.
On this occasion, the Minister also announced two ambulances for the hospital from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
