‘BSP will not participate in Municipal Elections’

JAMMU, Sept 20: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has stated that it will not participate in the upcoming municipal elections in Jammu and Kashmir State.
In a press conference here today State BSP President, S.R Majotra said that the Government is ignoring public sentiments by conducting municipal elections in the State.

He further said that atmosphere in J&K is not conducive to hold these elections.
“BJP has failed bitterly on all fronts and is now working in doctorial way ignoring democratic norms,” he said adding that the government should postpone the election and try to normalize the situation before conducting municipal elections.
Charanjit Bitta, State BSP Vice President; R.K Thappa, State General Secretary; Pritam Chand, State Secretary and others were also present in the press conference.
