BSP organises meet to redress grievances of people

JAMMU, June 23: Bahujan Samaj Party organised a meeting at Digiana under the chairmanship of S Ravinder Singh Pappar, Coordinator of the Gandhi Nagar Vidhan Sabha to redress the grievances of the people.
State president, Tulsi Dass Langeh, was the chief guest and RL Chargotra was the guest of honour.
During the meeting, the people apprised the leader that the width of the park under construction adjoining the canal (No 9) has been approved 40 feet from Akali Kohar Singh Nagar to Digiana Puli and Digiana Ashram Puli to Digiana Camp, whereas on the direction of Minister of Relief and Revenue, Raman Bhalla, the width of the park at some places has been kept 20 feet and 25 feet to favour his own persons, whereas in rest of the area the width of the park has been kept 40 feet.
In this way, the people residing in the area are facing discriminatory treatment from the hands of Minister, they added.
BSP leader urged upon the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and Minister for Floriculture for personal intervention by visiting the spot to avoid discriminatory treatment with the inhabitants of the area.
