BSP discusses various issues of OBCs

JAMMU, Sept 11: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Tulsi Dass Langeh and discussed various issues of the Other Backward Classes (OBCs).
In the meeting, speakers expressed concern over the recommendation of the State Advisory Board for increasing the reservation quota from 2 to 4 per cent, which is against the interest and constitutional right of OBCs.
Other demands including one certificate for State and Central services, enhancement of creamy layer at par with centre from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 9 lakh, etc were also discussed.
BSP warned the Government not to cheat 60 percent of population of OBCs, otherwise, they will adopt agitational path.
Among others present were Rattan Lal Chargotra, State vice president, AK Manawa, general secretary, Dr Harjeet Kumar, Mohinder Kashyap, State secretary, Ajit Kumar, etc.
