BSP demands adequate share in Block Development Councils

JAMMU, July 20: Bahujan Samaj Party has expressed its resentment over not giving due share to SC, ST and OBC in the proposed Block Development Council, as per notification number 0101-2019.
During a meeting of the BSP, held under the chairmanship of State vice-president Charanjit Chargotra, it was resolved to take up the issue with the concerned higher-up for giving due representation to these communities proportionate to their population in each district.
In Jammu district, population of SC community is 35.32 percent and their due representation should be seven whereas the Director RDD has given them only two percent share.
The meeting was attended by Kuldeep Chalotra, Tulsi Dass Langeh, R K Thappa, Pritam Chand, Ex MLA Som Nath, T R Bhagat, B L Digra, Gurbaksh, Pawan Kundal, Alok Nath, Darshan Rana, Hari Chand Thappa, Tilak Raj Bhagat, Ramesh Pangotra, Bala Devi and Bharat Bhushan.
