JAMMU, Mar 15: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) celebrated the Birth Anniversary of Kanshi Ram at Party headquarter Satwari, in Jammu here today.
Raja Ram, ex-MP and Coordinator J&K was the chief guest while the party president Darshan Rana presided over the function. The venue of celebration was giving festival look being decorated with blue coloured flags, hoardings depicting life struggle of the great leader.
The function started with traditional lighting of the lamp in front portrait of Kanshi Ram after which traditional songs were sung by the missionary activists. ex MP Raja Ram spoke on the life and mission of Late Kanshi Ram and said that this great leader was born in 1934 in a poor family and rose to the height of Messiah of downtrodden people of India. He realized the plight of Indian masses who inspite of independence of the country, continued to live the miserable life.
Kanshi Ram came to the conclusion that rights enshrined in Constitution of India by Bharat Rattan Dr BR Ambedkar have deliberately not implemented because of constitution of India went into the hands of some people protecting casteism. They wanted to remain the ruler of India. Kanshi Ram vowed to evolve such a strategy to uplift the common man by using his voting right to capture power with which they can open any lock of political power to mitigate their sufferings.
Kanshi Ram’s formula showed his results and captured the Govt in Uttar Pradesh 4 times and now it has become a national movement which is being led by Mayawati National president.
Darshan Rana thanked while paying tribute to Kanshi Ram said “we will not stop until we unite the victims of the system and overthrow the spirit of inequality in our country.” He requested the gathering to follow the footsteps of Baba Saheb BR Ambedkar and treat Kanshi Ram leading as their ultimate goal.
