SRINAGAR, Mar 13: Senior officials of the Controller of Communication Accounts (CCA) undertook a visit to Ganderbal to interact with pensioners of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and review their welfare while assessing issues faced by them in the region.
During the visit, Ashish Joshi, Principal Controller of Communication Accounts (Pr CCA), North Zone, accompanied by Raj Karan Verma, Controller of Communication Accounts (CCA) J&K and Amanullah Tak, Joint CCA J&K, visited the homes of several BSNL pensioners and enquired about their well-being while taking note of the concerns raised by them.
To further facilitate BSNL pensioners in the Kashmir region, the visiting officials also held a meeting with the Chief General Manager of BSNL J&K Circle regarding the establishment of a sub-office of the CCA in Srinagar. During the discussions, suitable space for the proposed office was identified and it is expected that the sub-office will start functioning after the necessary approvals are obtained.
In the meantime, it has been decided that an officer from the CCA office in Jammu will visit Srinagar every week to meet pensioners at a designated location provided by BSNL and address their grievances until the Srinagar sub-office becomes operational.
The initiative is being carried out in pursuance of the ‘Seva Sankalp Resolution’ adopted by the Union Cabinet on February 24, 2026, which aims to promote a citizen-centric work culture based on service, transparency and accountability.
