BSNL launches special scheme for customers

JAMMU, Feb 11: Jammu & Kashmir Telecom Circle of BSNL has launched a special scheme for bringing back customers of broadband whose facility was disconnected.
The BSNL in a statement issued here today said the subscribers whose broadband was disconnected due to non payment of bills or other reasons from April 2015 to November 2015 can now reconnect their broadband.
The department will not make any installation charges to these customers, there will be no rent for one month and these customers will be offered free calls worth Rs 500.
Besides, the incoming calls of such subscribers are also being restored to enable BSNL to contact them personally. The scheme will be valid up to February 29 this year.
The handout said that the BSNL will also be selling the Wi Fi enabled modem for Rs 1500 with five years annual maintenance Free, whereas market purchased modems subscribers are offered only 6 to 12 months warranty. By purchasing BSNL Modem, customers will be free from hassles of running to vendors for repair/replacement and configuration. BSNL takes full responsibility of modem purchased from it including installation and configuration.
It said BSNL modems are technically tested to comply with industry standard and compatible with broadband equipment, enabling subscribers for better broadband speed and service.
It said the customers interested in availing the scheme should contact their nearest customer service centre.
