JAMMU, Mar 21: BSNL State level Advisory Committee meeting was held here, today under chairmanship of Chief General Manager BSNL J&K Circle Dr. Labh Singh. The meeting was attended by MP (Lok Sabha), Thupstan Chhewang besides all SSA heads and other senior officers of BSNL.
Power point presentation was given by CGMT and other officers. Detailed discussions were held regarding various services provided by BSNL including landline services, broadband services ,mobile services , enterprise services, National Optical Fibre Network (NOFN) for ‘Digital India’, Wi-fi hotspots, Network for Spectrum (NFS) Project for defence services, Next Generation Network (NGN) and implementation of Sansad Adarsh Gram Yogna(SAANJHI).
The meeting was informed that for expansion of mobile network, additional 226 mobile towers are planned for the year 2016-17. Besides for up-gradation of landline, 44000 line capacity under NGN (Next Generation Network) is planned for the year 2016-17.
The meeting was informed that new special schemes have been launched recently which included, Special Tariff Voucher STV 501, Free 5 GB data and 50,000 seconds of on-net calls only for J&K State.
Promotional MNP prepaid plan (Free Talk value of Rs. 100 and 50 Mb data ) for port in customer.
In the Holi festival offer an additional talk value in top up from Rs.290 to 5000 of different denominations, promotional scheme for reconnection of broadband customers, one month rental waived off, zero installation charge and 500 on-net calls free, buy back scheme for Broadband Modem- Money back of Rs. 100 per month for 15 months in broadband plans of 700 and above have been announced by the BSNL.
Thupstan Chhewang and others shared their views for development and betterment of BSNL services in entire State. Chief General Manager BSNL J&K Circle Dr Labh Singh apprised the dignitaries about the steps which are being initiated for futuristic development and reliability of services besides challenges being faced for their stability.
